The Program aims to conduct studies and research on education, human rights, and ethnic-racial diversity. With a multidisciplinary structure, it encompasses the research lines of the FLACSO System, with emphasis on the axis of indigenous peoples, quilombola communities, and other traditional peoples and communities.
Its strategy involves conducting studies and research, as well as developing technical and solidarity cooperation in the fields of management of governmental policies, social organizations, and other entities of public or private interest. Here, policies are conceived from formulation, planning, and execution, with special attention to the phases of diagnosis, monitoring, and evaluation, prioritizing social control and participation. Research, cooperation, and policy management actions are understood as constitutive parts of diverse, plural, specific, and differentiated contexts and subjects.
It expects to contribute to the agenda of the FLACSO System, especially FLACSO Brazil, with systems of other international organizations, postgraduate and research institutions, education systems, governmental bodies, and civil society organizations. The products and results to be achieved are studies and research; technical cooperation; advisory and consulting services; training courses; Production and publication of academic, pedagogical, didactic, and communication materials in different media and formats.
