With the purpose of expanding research and training in the field of Law, the Colegio Latinoamericano de Estudios Mundiales will be called Colegio Latinoamericano de Estudios Globales en Derecho y Sociedad (CLAEDS). CLAEDS seeks to promote debates of national and international impact through the production of empirical research, courses and training on fundamental legal and social questions in the global context, such as the recognition of rights in Latin America and the countries of the Global Sur, fundamental rights, human rights, work, the environment, access to justice, legislation anti-discrimination, justice and democracy, citizenship, governance, public policies, new technologies, innovation, the best practices in social sustainability and equity.

The purpose of CLAEDS, therefore, is to deepen the exchange of knowledge with national and international institutions, through research of excellence to broaden the horizon of knowledge arising from the dialogue between Law and Social Sciences, with a critical and multidisciplinary approach.

One of CLAEDS’s main focuses is the development and delivery of training courses at different levels, as well as joint participation in the development and implementation of research programs; the development and implementation of research and training projects to support public and private institutions in promoting social sustainability; consulting on public policies; the development of seminars and events, among other academic activities. Its multilingual and multicultural format takes on the challenge of promoting broad and intercultural communication involving the most diverse realities.
